ISTANBUL (CIHAN) - The CEBIT Eurasia Information and Communication Technology Exhibition is to kick off tomorrow in Istanbul.
Eurasia's biggest information and communications technology fair, the CEBIT Eurasia Information and Communication Technology Exhibition, is to open its gates for visitors on August 31.
The latest technologies of the world's leading companies will be displayed at the exhibition that will remain open until September 5.
The Exhibition will be held in a 55,000-square meter enclosed area at the TUYAP Exhibition Center on the European side of Istanbul. The organizers of the exhibition have said that they expect a 30 percent increase in the number of foreign companies visiting.
The exhibition aims to attract at least 160,000 visitors from 64 countries. The seminars and conferences will be held for Turkish businessmen and company managers.
Visitors and exhibitors can hook up with each other by making appointments via short message services.
New projects of 31 Turkish universities will be presented at the Exhibition. In addition, the e-projects of public institutions and private companies from Eurasia and of 42 Turkish public sector institutions are to be presented during the Exhibition.
Chinese firms would participate at the Exhibition for the first time, with a total of 21 Chinese firms taking part.
CEBIT Eurasia is included in the "International Buyers' Program" of the US Department of Trade for 2004 which encourages American people to visit the Exhibition.
The exhibition will allow buyers and sellers of information & communications technologies to share industry perspectives, to network and to conduct business.
