Four Including Two Foreigners Killed In Kabul Car-bomb: Witnesses

KABUL, Aug 29 (AFP) - At least four people including two foreigners were killed in a car-bombing which rocked a downtown area of the Afghan capital late Sunday, witnesses told AFP.
Police said the explosion had been caused by a car bomb in the Shar-e-Naw district in downtown Kabul -- an area crammed with United Nations offices and other international aid agencies.
"I saw four people lying on the floor and cars on fire," said photographer Massoud Hossieni, who arrived at the blast site shortly after the car-bomb exploded. Other witnesses said they had seen four bodies.
"There were four bodies, two Afghans and two foreigners," said a shopkeeper injured in the blast.
"It was a car-bomb attack. The explosion was big but we don`t know exactly how many people were killed," Kabul Deputy police Mutullah Khan Rahmani told AFP.
A Western security source at the site said he saw only one body but was told that four or five others were dead.
The blast took place shortly before 6:00 pm (1330 GMT) in the central district near the headquarters of US security firm Dyncorp, which provides guards for Afghan President Hamid Karzai, and a few hundred yards from a United Nations guest house.
