LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat said on Saturday that Greek Cypriots would observe public worship at the Ay Mama Church which was bombed on Friday, adding that necessary measures were taken.
When asked whether or not he received any information about who staged bomb attack on the church, Talat said, ''no, you should talk to our interior minister.''
Stating that they took all necessary measures, Talat noted that he thought that there would not be any problem.
''We know that there will not be any problem. Necessary security measures have been taken. But, I have to say that there might be terrorist attacks in democratic countries as well. Therefore, it is wrong to underestimate peaceful atmosphere in TRNC. Both TRNC government and Turkish Cypriot people condemned the attack,'' Talat said.
A bomb, which was planted in front of the door, exploded at Ay Mama Church in Guzelyurt in TRNC on Friday, shattering windows of the church and damaging the entrance.
