WASHINGTON, Aug 27 (AFP) - Terrorists may be targetting US military hospitals for an attack, the FBI said Friday.
"There is intelligence that Al-Qaeda or other terrorists would like to attack a military installation," Federal Bureau of Investigation spokesman Bill Carter said.
Terrorists could chose to attack one of the Veterans Administration (VA) hospital for former US service members, the FBI told 18,000 US police stations in its weekly letter.
"It refers to possible attacks on US military institutions and soft target such as veterans hospitals," Carter said.
"The FBI or the US government has no specific information that there is any plan or plot to attack a VA hospital at present," Carter said.
