SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium, Aug 27 (AFP) - Briton Jenson Button on Friday tipped Michael Schumacher to secure his seventh world title here Sunday after claiming Ferrari will be untouchable in the Belgian Grand Prix.
Button's BAR-Honda team looked set to put up a strong challenge this weekend when he finished second fastest in practice with test driver Anthony Davidson and racer Takuma Sato fourth and fifth respectively.
But Button has already conceded the race to Ferrari driver Schumacher, who finished third fastest, and when asked if he has a chance of spoiling the German's party he admitted: "It's not a very big chance I'm afraid."
Schumacher needs to score just two points more than Brazilian team-mate Rubens Barrichello here Sunday to seal the title but he is determined to clinch it in style with his seventh victory at the forested track.
And Button said: "It doesn't sound very exciting but we will not be challenging Ferrari. In testing today they might not have looked very strong but we know they will be.
"At the last race in Hungary the Ferrari was just too good for everyone and they will be quick as they always are. I'm not sure that we'll be quick enough to challenge them.
"We need to look behind them at the moment at the challenge between McLaren, BAR, Williams and Renault. Our main battle is with Renault, who are our main competitors, and compared to them we are fairly strong."
Button has been in good form this year and has scored seven podiums so far but the team needs Sato to score highly if they are to have any hope of closing in on the reliable Renault team.
Two races ago, in Germany, Button had what he described as the race of his life to finish second ahead of Renault's Fernando Alonso but the Spaniard got the better of him to finish third at the last race in Hungary.
But Button remains confident of a strong fight for the 'best of the rest' title and said: "We had a good day today. It does not tell us how good we are compared with the others, but it suggests we can get a reasonable result."
