MOSUL, Iraq, Aug 27 (AFP) - At least 10 Iraqis, including two children, and a US soldier were wounded on Friday when a car bomb blew up in the path of a US military convoy in the main northern city of Mosul, medical sources said.
The car exploded at around 11:00 am (0700 GMT) in the central Yarmuk district of the city as US military vehicles passed.
A woman was also among those wounded.
The US military said one American soldier was taken to hospital for treatment following the attack, but had no information on civilian casualties.
Attacks on US troops and Iraqi police have been frequent in this mainly Sunni Muslim city since former dictator Saddam Hussein fell from power after the 2003 US-led invasion.
