ANKARA - The prime minister of Georgia defined on Tuesday Turkey and Georgia as two shining stars.
Georgian Prime Minister Grigol Mgalobishvili said that Turkey and Georgia would be the shining stars of their region.
"Georgia, which had a serious stroke in August, is firm on its feet and goes on walking on its path," Mgalobishvili said during Turkish-Georgian Business Forum in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
Mgalobishvili said Turkey and Georgia stood beside each other in good and bad times, and told participants that his country would never forget that the first trucks passed from Sarp border crossing (at Turkish-Georgian border) when Georgia was bombed in August were Turkish trucks.
The Georgian prime minister said Turkey sent the first helicopters when Georgian forests were burning.
Mgalobishvili said that he thought Georgia would develop in a very short time.
Also speaking in the meeting, Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said that Turkey was always supporting Georgia`s territorial integrity, and was deeply sorry about the incidents that occurred between Georgia and Russian Federation in August.
The Turkish minister said that Turkish-Georgian cooperation was promising a bright future for not only Caucasus but also the entire Eurasia.
"Boosting cooperation between our countries, which are situated in the heart of Eurasia-the strategic importance of which is indisputable, will be the guarantee of peace, stability and development of Eurasia," Tuzmen said.
