ANKARA - Relations between Turkey and Georgia were based on a sound ground and there was no problem between the two countries which could not be solved, the prime minister of Georgia said on Tuesday.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Georgian Prime Minister Grigol Mgalobishvili held a joint press conference after having a meeting in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
Mgalobishvili said he held fruitful and comprehensive talks with President Abdullah Gul and Erdogan.
Turkey always supported territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Georgia, he said.
Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum projects as well as Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway construction would make a great contribution to the region, Mgalobishvili said.
Replying to a question, Mgalobishvili said they hoped that Turkish businessmen would make more investments in his country.
