Number Of Chapters Opened In Turkey's E.U. Accession Negotiations Rises To 10

BRUSSELS - With the opening of two chapters, "Free Movement of Capital" and "Information Society and Media", for negotiations at the intergovernmental conference in Brussels on Friday, the number of chapters opened in Turkey`s European Union (EU) accession negotiations rose to 10.
Speaking to reporters following the conference, Turkish Foreign Minister and Chief Negotiator for EU talks Ali Babacan said that Turkey expected the EU not to permit Turkey`s accession process get de-railed.
We are determined to continue with the reform process and meet the requirements of the technical criteria, Babacan said.
