TBILISI - Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze of Georgia has received Turkish Ambassador in Tbilisi Ertan Tezgor.
Besides the bilateral relations between the two countries, recent developments in southern Caucasus and Turkey`s proposal to establish "Caucasian Stability and Cooperation Platform" in the region were high on agenda of the meeting.
Vashadze said that Turkey`s proposal was a significant step towards ensuring a lasting stability in the region, and extended his country`s support.
In August, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan paid visits to the regional countries and proposed them to establish Caucasian Stability and Cooperation Platform which would include Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia. The first meeting among the parties was held in Helsinki last month.
