ANKARA - Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov held a joint press conference in Ankara on Tuesday.
Gul said the issues between the two countries were not the ones which could not be solved and they decided on establishment of a joint committee between undersecretaries of the foreign ministries of Turkey and Bulgaria in order to deal with problems of Turks living in Bulgaria.
Turkey and Bulgaria made significant contributions to peace, stability and security in the region, he said.
There has been a great progress in political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries and they were glad to see that trade volume was close to 5 billion U.S. dollars.
Replying to a question on Nabucco Project, Gul said Parvanov and he discussed the issue in detail and Turkey attached a great importance to this project.
In his part, Bulgarian President Parvanov said Bulgaria supported Turkey's EU perspective.
Trade volume between the two countries has increased from 1 billion to 5 billion U.S. dollars and the figure was keeping to rise, he said.
Parvanov said they confirmed once again that they were ready to work on the Nabucco project and this project would meet energy need of Europe.
Bulgarian President said he was pleased that Gul accepted their invitation to an energy forum which would take place in Bulgaria in April 2009.
