Turkey's Banking System Is Stronger And Stable, Gurria

ANKARA - Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Secretary-General Angel Gurria said on Tuesday that Turkey developed an antivirus against global crisis after the economic crisis it had experienced in 2001.
While commenting on growth rate, Gurria said they expected low but positive growth rates in Turkish economy.
Gurria said Turkey displayed a positive growth performance so far, indicating that it was natural that there would be drops in growth rates within the scope of global financial crisis.
OECD executive said Turkey's banking system was also stronger, stable and its capital was in better condition.
Gurria later departed from Turkey.
