Brother Says Fears Safety Of Bush Shoe-thrower

BAGHDAD - Brother of an Iraqi TV reporter, who has hurdled his shoes at the U.S. president, expressed concern over the safety of Muntadhar Al-Zaidi under custody.
"Everyone has watched on TV my brother getting beaten by Al-Maliki's bodyguards," Uday Al-Zaidi told the A.A, saying that Muntadhar might have suffered "even a worse treatment" under Iraqi custody.
Al-Zaidi threw two shoes at George W. Bush and called him "dog" during a news conference on Sunday in Baghdad.
Uday said a cameraman working with Muntadhar was also beaten severely by Al-Maliki's bodyguards. "After I saw what the cameraman had endured I just cannot imagine what shape Muntadhar might be in," Uday said.
"Bush deserves more than a pair of shoes and I will smash the Americans if my uncle is not released," said Dhirgham, Iraqi journalist's 4-year-old nephew.
