Turks Stranded In Thailand

ADANA/ANKARA - Several Turkish citizens have been stranded in Thailand after anti-government protestors besieged international airport in Bangkok.
Dr. Baturalp Abdusoglu, who is currently in Bangkok to attend a scientific congress, succeeded in sending a SMS to his brother in Istanbul, saying that they were in good health.
On November 27, Thai Ministry of Tourism said that thousands of stranded tourists would be evacuated from military bases within 48 hours.
The Turkish Embassy in Bangkok contacted with stranded Turks in the country, and has been trying to send them back safely to Turkey.
Members of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) stormed the new airport in Bangkok on Tuesday, stepping up their fight to unseat the government.
