The siege at Mumbai`s Taj Mahal hotel is over after security forces killed the remaining armed men inside the building, the city`s police commissioner has said.
"All (combat) operations are over. All the terrorists have been killed," Hassan Gafoor said on Saturday.
The Taj Mahal hotel was the last area in Mumbai where attackers were still holed up, 59 hours after they had launched a string of assaults across India`s financial capital.
Security forces at another hotel, the Trident-Oberoi, found 24 bodies after gaining control of the building.
More than 195 people have been killed, including at least 21 foreigners, since the co-ordinated attacks began on Wednesday, officials have said. At least another 370 people have been injured.
Among the foreigners who have died are five Israelis, two Americans, two French nationals, two Australians, a German, a Japanese, a Canadian, a British Cypriot, an Italian and a Singaporean.
