Bomb Explodes In Dortyol Injuring 7 People

DORTYOL - Seven people were injured when a bomb exploded in front of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of a bank branch in Dortyol Township in southern Hatay province.
The bomb, which was left in front of ATM of Is Bankasi, exploded late on Tuesday injuring seven people passing by. Windows of several houses were broken and a bakery was damaged after the explosion.
Those injured were immediately hospitalized and later reported to be in good condition.
Hatay Police Chief Cafer Sahin, following an investigation on the spot, said, ''we think that the explosion could be an act of terrorism,'' stating that technical studies were underway to determine the type of the bomb.
