Turkey And Iraq To Work Together To Eliminate Terrorism, Siic Official

ANKARA - The deputy chairman of Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC) Ammar al-Hakim said on Wednesday that Turkey and Iraq would work together in the fight against terrorism.
Commenting on the talks he held in Ankara at a press conference, al-Hakim said that he arrived in the Turkish capital in order to improve the dialogue between Turkey and Iraq and to discuss the bilateral relations between the countries.
Al-Hakim said that Iraq had a strong will to strengthen its relations with Turkey.
Noting that both Turkey and Iraq were victims of terrorism, al-Hakim said the improving dialogue between the two countries would contribute to the fight against terrorism.
Turkey and Iraq would work together to eliminate terrorism, al-Hakim said.
Within the framework of his visit to Ankara, Al-Hakim held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan and other ministry officials on Wednesday.
