All 44 Aboard Crashed Russian Airliner Killed: Emergency Ministry

MOSCOW, Aug 25 (AFP) - All 44 passengers and crew aboard a Russian Tu-134 airliner which crashed Tuesday some 180 kilometers (110 miles) south of Moscow, were killed, the Russian emergency ministry said early Wednesday.
Rescuers found the airplane`s main section some two kilometers off Buchalki village in the Tula region, a ministry official was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.
The Tupolev aircraft with 35 passengers and nine crew on board was en route from Moscow to Russia`s southern city of Volgograd when it disappeared off radar screens at 2300 (1900 GMT) Tuesday, the ministry`s spokeswoman Marina Ryklina said earlier.
A minute before that crash a Tu-154 airplane with 46 people on board went missing near the southern city of Rostov-on-Don during a flight from Moscow to the Black Sea resort of Sochi, officials said.
A search was ongoing to locate that plane.
