Consul General On Attack To Consulate General In Salzbourg

VIENNA - Turkey`s Consul General to Salzbourg Nesrin Bayazit said on Monday that firebomb attack on the Consulate General stemmed from "security weakness".
In an exclusive interview with the A.A correspondent, Bayazit said a computer, telephone, typewriter, as well as the technical equipment were all damaged after the planned attack.
Bayazit said necessary measures were taken to prevent any hitch in services, adding that they requested Austria`s formal authorities to find and punish the perpetrators.
Bayazit said although they requested Austrian security authorities, police was not on guard continuously, and noted that police was only patrolling after 7:00 p.m.
Referring to a similar attack on Bregenz consulate general in the past, Bayazit said, "any failure to find the perpetrators will encourage similar attacks."
Bayazit said Turkish businessmen and citizens living in Salzbourg felt uneasy after the attack.
