ANKARA - Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler will travel to Switzerland on Monday.
Guler will attend the inauguration ceremony of Large Hadron Collider (LHC) which was developed by European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) with contribution of 80 countries in Geneva.
Turkey will participate in the ceremony as observer country. The ceremony will be held on October 21.
Guler will return to Turkey on October 22.
LHC is a gigantic scientific instrument near Geneva, where it spans the border between Switzerland and France about 100 m underground. It is a particle accelerator used by physicists to study the smallest known particles ? the fundamental building blocks of all things.
