ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan returned from the United States to Turkey on Sunday.
Holding a press conference at Ankara's Esenboga Airport, Babacan said that Turkey's being elected non-permanent member to UN Security Council for 2009-2010 period was one the important developments and successes in Turkish foreign affairs history.
Babacan said that the result of this election was based on three important issues which were domestic reforms in Turkey, success in foreign policy and introduction of these successes to the world with a good communication.
Babacan stressed that Turkey was elected with the support of the world, not only by a certain geography.
