ADIYAMAN/ANKARA - The United States would keep extending assistance to Turkish security forces in combating terrorist organization, the ambassador said on Saturday.
U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Ross Wilson attended an inaugural ceremony in southeastern province of Adiyaman and replied to questions of reporters.
Wilson said attacks that were waged by terrorist organization on Aktutun military outpost and police bus in southeastern province of Diyarbakir disgusted the U.S. authorities.
The United States did whatever necessary to support Turkish security forces in fight against terrorist organization, he said.
Later the same day Wilson was received by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul.
