BERLIN - German Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble has said that there had been an ongoing close cooperation with the Turkish government in the fight against the PKK terrorist organization, and that any threat could damage their determination for cooperation.
In an interview with a group of Turkish journalists visiting Germany, Schaeuble said that efforts that had been carried out to close down the Roj TV, the media organ of the terrorist organization, were the sample of the cooperation between the two countries.
Upon a question about Germany`s migration law, Schaeuble said that Turkish citizens who were born in Germany had to make a choice between Turkish and German citizenship after a certain age since they did not accept dual citizenship any longer.
Meanwhile, Turkish diplomatic sources said that Turkey welcomed Germany`s support to its fight against the terrorist organization. According to the same sources, Turkey, on the other hand, felt uneasy over the PKK`s several activities in Germany.
