Three Poles Out Of Four Fear Terrorist Attack: Poll

WARSAW, Aug 24 (AFP) - Three out of four people in Poland, a staunch ally of the United States in Iraq, fear that their country will be the target of a terrorist attack, according to a poll published on Tuesday.
While 74 percent of the 1,005 people questionned in the TNS OBOP poll carried out from August 5-8 said they feared an attack, 22 percent said they did not.
Another 69 percent of the people questionned said Poland was badly prepared for a terrorist attack.
In July a group claiming links with the Al-Qaeda terror network threatened an attack unless Warsaw withdraws its 2,500 troops from Iraq.
Polish public opinion remains overwhelmingly opposed to Poland's participation in the US-led multinational force in Iraq.
