At Least Four Wounded In Moscow Blast

MOSCOW, Aug 24 (AFP) - At least four people were seriously wounded Tuesday in a blast at a southern Moscow bus station, near a Russian interior ministry building, Interfax quoted sources as saying.
The blast damaged a bus and several cars, an AFP reporter on the spot said, but police were tight-lipped about the incident.
It was not immediately clear if there were any people killed in the blast. Those injured were said to have sustained serious shrapnel wounds from what police said appeared to be a home-made explosive device.
The device was placed at the base of a lamp post near the station, Interfax said.
"For the moment we know that all those injured are still alive," a source said.
Moscow has been repeatedly hit by bombings in recent years, many of them linked to criminal gangs fighting for business influence, others tied to the five-year war in Chechnya.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Tuesday`s explosion.
