ANKARA - Turkish General Staff announced Monday that Turkish warplanes launched an airstrike on a group of terrorists located on Buzul mountains in the Southeastern province of Hakkari.
A press release published on General Staff's official website said Turkish Armed Forces continued operations, in pursuit of PKK/KONGRA-GEL terrorists, who partook in Friday's attack on Aktutun Military Border Station.
"The planes have all returned to their bases safely," said the statement.
"The operations that were carried out only targeted the PKK/KONGRA-GEL terrorist organization and necessary precaution was shown to avoid civilian casualties," it added.
