Turkey has buried its martyrs in her heart. Thousands of people paid their last tribute to 15 soldiers who were killed by PKK terrorists in a gendarmerie outpost in the southeastern province of Hakkari on Friday. President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan were also in attendance at the funerals.

TURKISH JETS BOMB TERRORIST CAMPS
Turkish warplanes have bombed terrorist targets in northern Iraq a day after PKK terrorists killed 15 Turkish troops in an attack on a gendarmerie outpost. The planes bombed PKK hideouts in Avasin Basyan region in north of Iraq and killed a number of terrorists.

BARZANI'S PROTECTION FOR PKK
Gen. Hasan Igsiz, deputy chief of Turkish General Staff, has accused the regional administration in northern Iraq of providing the PKK terrorist organization with infrastructure and health services.
"We don't receive any kind of support from the local administration in the northern part of Iraq. Our expectation from them is to both accept that PKK is a terrorist organization and eliminate the support provided to it," he said.
Gen. Igsiz held a news conference to inform press members on Friday's PKK attack in which 15 soldiers were killed. "They did not die in vain, they fulfilled their duties and they succeeded," he added.

WE BURY THOSE HEROES IN OUR HEARTS
Tearful funerals have taken place across Turkey for 15 young soldiers who were killed by PKK terrorists in Aktutun gendarmerie outpost near the border region with Iraq last week. Hundreds of thousands of people paid their last tribute to the martyrs with prayers and Turkey's national anthem. They gave the most important message to the PKK, "there is a single heart in Turkey. No one can separate us."

A NOTE TO IRAQ
Turkey has warned Iraq that it should provide security in its border region after Friday's attack on a gendarmerie outpost in the border region in which 15 soldiers were killed by PKK terrorists. A diplomatic note was sent to the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad. In the note, Turkey asked Iraqi authorities to take necessary measures to capture those who were responsible for the attack and to prevent occurrence of similar attacks in the future.

TURKISH JETS BOMB THE REGION
After Friday's attack on Aktutun border military outpost in Semdinli town of Hakkari province, Turkish jets bombed terrorist PKK targets in the Avasin-Basyan region. Turkish soldiers, who landed at the north of Iraq with Sikorsky helicopters, are currently after terrorists by searching every cave.

ILLEGAL MIGRANT DISASTER
A total of 18 illegal migrants died when the truck carrying them tumbled into a river in Malkara town of the northwestern province of Tekirdag. 25 illegal migrants were wounded in the accident. The migrants were of Afghan and Myanmar origin and the truck driver escaped after the accident, police said.

Fifteen soldiers who were martyred by PKK terrorists in the southeastern province of Hakkari, have been laid to rest in their hometowns in tearful funerals. It was one of the most sorrowful days in the history of Turkey. Tens of thousands of people were in attendance at the funerals. They chanted slogans and damned the PKK and terrorism.

HEARTBREAKING STATEMENT
Gen. Hasan Igsiz, deputy chief of Turkish General Staff, said that reconstruction of five critical gendarmerie outposts including the one in which 15 soldiers were killed in the PKK attack last week, was delayed because of financial problems besides the geographical conditions.
"Those outposts were built years ago to fight against smuggling. Therefore, they were positioned in passages. They will be reconstructed under the current requirements. Their reconstruction takes time because of both financial means and geographical conditions," he told a news conference.

Turkish warplanes staged an immediate air strike on the PKK terrorists in the north of Iraq. Following Friday's attack on Aktutun border military outpost in Semdinli town of Hakkari province, a wide-scale operation was launched in the border region.
General Staff announced that an air operation was staged in Avasin region in the north of Iraq, which was the route used by PKK terrorists while they were trying to escape.

FIVE OUTPOSTS TO BE MOVED
General Staff Deputy Chief Gen. Hasan Igsiz said that terrorist organization PKK could not achieve its goal with its recent attack targeting Aktutun border military outpost.
Pointing to the support PKK receives from the north of Iraq, Igsiz said, "We have no problems with USA regarding the intelligence sharing." Igsiz also said that a total of five border military outposts including Aktutun would be moved to new locations.

A small truck carrying 43 illegal migrants from Pakistan and Myanmar overturned and plunged into a river in Istanbul, killing 18 migrants. It was revealed that the truck was specially designed for human smuggling. 25 migrants were injured. Three of them are in life-threatening condition.

Five of the six officers who were commanding the 62 soldiers on duty at Aktutun border military outpost in Semdinli town of the southeastern Hakkari province were wounded during the first fire in Friday's attack.

The whole world has reacted in the most strongest way to the recent attack by PKK terrorists who killed 15 soldiers. Governments from the United States to Britain and Sweden and international organizations like the United Nations condemned terrorism. A spokesman for the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon expressed their profound sympathy with Turkish people who were subject to terrorist violence. A small truck carrying 43 illegal migrants from Pakistan and Myanmar overturned and plunged into a river in Istanbul. When the driver of the vehicle escaped from the scene of the crash, 18 migrants drowned. Their bodies were found two hours after the crash. The remaining 25 migrants were hospitalized.

OUTPOSTS TO BE MOVED AFTER DEATH OF 44 SOLDIERS
Hakkari's Aktutun border military outpost that had been attacked 5 times previously and 4 other border outposts will be moved to other locations.
General Staff Deputy Chief Gen. Hasan Igsiz briefed the press on the recent PKK attack targeting Aktutun outpost.
"Aktutun is in a condemned location. It was decided last fall that the troop center should be moved to a new location 300 meters away. The works will start in the upcoming months and the outpost will be inaugurated next summer," Igsiz said.
Igsiz said that Samanli, Yesilova, Umurlu and Alan military border outposts would also be moved.

TURKISH PREMIER WARNS THE WEST
Delivering a speech at the funeral of a soldier that died in Friday's terrorist attack on Hakkari's Aktutun border military outpost, Premier Erdogan said that EU and USA's statements on terrorism did not solve the problem.
"We are expecting a positive response for our call to take precautions. The issue does not solely have a security aspect. We will take a step after reviewing all the aspects," Erdogan said.
