General Staff: Two Missing Soldiers May Be Dead

ANKARA - General Staff Deputy Chief Gen. Hasan Igsiz said they could not still locate the wherabouts of the two soldiers who went missing after Friday`s attack on Aktutun Border military outpost in Semdinli town of Hakkari province. "According to our assessment, the two soldiers may be dead. Searches continue," he said.
Gen. Igsiz held a meeting at the General Staff HQ on the terrorist attack in Hakkari and said works had started last year to move Aktutun outpost to Bercar Tepe adding that the outpost would be moved there by 2009.
Gen. Igsiz said terrorist organization which was going towards a breaking point, leaned towards sensational actions in an attempt to find a way out.
