Turkey Urges Iraqi Authorities To Punish Perpetrators Of Attack On Turkish Soldiers

ANKARA - Turkey on Saturday urged Iraqi authorities and other related parties to take necessary measures to punish perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Semdinli town of southeastern province of Hakkari.
According to a statement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkey felt great indignation over death of 15 soldiers during a terrorist attack on Aktutun Gendarmerie outpost on October 3.
"We strongly condemn this heinous which attack once again reveals the brutality and targets of the terrorist organization," the statement said.
The statement said this attack, staged by PKK from north of Iraq with heavy weapons, was grave and it showed that terrorist PKK organization continued activities in this region.
The statement said Turkish MFA launched necessary initiatives with Iraq and other related parties and reminded them their international assignments and responsibilities.
