BRUSSELS - French Presidency of the Council of the European Union condemned Saturday the attack staged by PKK terrorists on a Turkish military outpost, where 15 soldiers were killed.
A press release issued by the French EU Presidency said the EU was in complete solidarity with Turkish officials while offering condolences to families and relatives of the soldiers who were killed in the attack.
The statement said, PKK was listed as a terrorist organisation by the EU and French EU Presidency was together with Turkey in its fight against this terrorist organisation.
Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, also condemned the attack and said he shared Turkey`s grief.
NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer also issued a press release condemning the attack and said NATO allies were in strong solidarity with Turkey in its fight against terrorism.
PKK terrorists, attacked a Turkish military outpost Friday, situated in Semdinli town of Southeastern province of Hakkari, along the Turkey-Iraqi border, killing 15 soldiers.
Two Turkish soldiers went missing, and 23 PKK terrorists were killed in clashes that erupted.
