ASKHABAT - PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Saturday Turkey was well prepared against the global financial crisis adding that they took the necessary precautions.
Addressing the Turkey-Turkmenistan business forum held in Askhabat Erdogan said the financial fluctuations were not restricted to the U.S. but it effected all financial markets which were open.
Erdogan said Turkey gained serious experience in economic crisis which occurred approximately every three years since 1980.
"We have implemented sound reforms and restructured financial and fiscal sectors during our term in office. We have especially rebuilt the banking sector on solid foundations," said Erdogan.
Erdogan said they expected the amount of foreign investments to Turkey in 2008 to reach 15 billion USD by the end of the year.
