HAKKARI/KOCAELI/FETHIYE - Turkish security forces confiscated heroin and hashish in their counter-narcotic operations throughout the country on Friday.
In an operation in the southeastern province of Hakkari, gendarmery forces seized five kilograms of heroin, that belonged to the terrorist organization PKK.
In a separate operation in the northwestern province of Kocaeli, security forces acted on a tip-off and arrested four people, including two Iranians, with one kilogram of heroin.
Also, security forces seized one kilogram of hashish in Fethiye town of the Aegean province of Mugla. Seven people were detained in the operation.
