U.S. Senate Approves James Jeffrey As U.S. Ambassador To Turkey

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The United States Senate approved the appointment of James Jeffrey as the new U.S. ambassador to Turkey on Thursday.
Jeffrey was a deputy national security adviser to the U.S. President George Bush most recently.
James Jeffrey served for a long period in the U.S. military and State Department.
Jeffrey served in Turkey for three times in the past. He speaks Turkish.
James Jeffrey was the U.S. ambassador to Albania between 2002-2004. In the years 2004-2005, Jeffrey served at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad as the charge d'affaires.
