The Russian premier says the alleged Ukrainian arms supplied to Georgia during the recent war in the breakaway region of South Ossetia constitute a crime.
Vladimir Putin made the comments during a meeting with Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko in Moscow on Thursday.
"I don`t think there is a graver crime than supplying arms to a conflict zone," Putin said, according to RIA Novosti. He went on to say that he was disappointed that Ukraine had thought that it was acceptable to supply weapons to the conflict zone.
The Russian premier said that Moscow had evidence that proved military experts from Ukraine were in the conflict zone during the five-day war that began when Georgian forces attacked the breakaway region of South Ossetia on August 7.
Kiev has denied the allegations of supplying arms to Georgia.
