Babacan Presents Thailand's Fm Letter Of Intent On Asean

UNITED NATIONS - Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan presented Monday Thailand's Foreign Minister and term president of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Sompong Amornwiwat a letter of intent to develop relations between Turkey and the ASEAN.
In his letter of intent, Babacan stressed that Turkey wishes to develop economic and political relations with the ASEAN within the framework of an agreement of friendship and cooperation.
Ali Babacan continued to hold talks at the United Nations on Monday.
Aside from Amornwiwat, Babacan also met with the Foreign Minister of Mozambique Oldemiro Baloi and Moldovan Foreign Minister Andrei Stratan on Monday.
