Call From Pace To Cypriot Leaders: Don't Miss Opportunity For Solution

STRASBOURG - A report prepared by Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE)referred to new negotiation process that started between leaders of both parties in Cyprus and called on the parties not to miss the opportunity to achieve a solution.
The report "Situation in Cyprus", prepared by German parliamentarian Joachim Horster, said resumption of talks have encouraging outcomes that would be in the advantage of the Cypriots.
The report said ongoing negotiations were the best opportunity to eliminate the fragmentation in the island that continued for long years.
The draft report said both parties should accept additional confidence building measures aiming to rise opportunity for success, adding that three countries having guarantor status; Turkey, Greece and Britain should support the process and contribute to raising confidence between the two communities.
