SOFIA - Bulgarian customs officers seized on Tuesday 10.45 kg heroin in Kapitan Andreevo crossing at the Bulgarian-Turkish border.
A spokesman for the Turkish Customs Administration said a search was made in a car heading from Turkey to the Netherlands. The driver of the car was a 37-year old Turkish citizen whose name was held.
10.45 kg heroin was found hidden in packages in secret parts of the car bearing a Dutch plate.
The market value of the heroin was estimated to be more than 450 thousand Euro.
An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
