ANTALYA - An oil and gas summit will bring together ministers from 15 countries in a Mediterranean port city of Turkey.
The Turkish Association of Petroleum Geologists will organize "The Northern Arabian Plate Oil & Gas Summit" in Antalya's Belek town from October 8th to 10th, the chairman of the association said on Saturday.
Chairman Ismail Bahtiyar said that the meeting aimed to create a significant and efficient platform for companies that were eager to invest in oil industry in Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria.
"Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler will be the honorary president of the meeting," Bahtiyar said.
Bahtiyar also said ministers and high-level bureaucrats from 15 countries, and representatives of over 60 institutions would participate in the meeting.
Strengthening neighborhood in energy trade; leading role of national oil companies; opportunities and challenges in exploration, and sustaining and increasing production; and oil and gas transportation in reaching regional and world markets will be the main topics of the meeting.
