NEW YORK - Turkey's state minister for the Treasury left the United States for Turkey on Friday after completing his talks in New York.
Simsek participated in a global investment symposium organized by a think-tank named International Economic Alliance (IEA), and delivered a speech on economic outlook, reforms and investment opportunities in Turkey.
The Turkish minister also had talks with executives of several investment organizations in New York, and accompanied President Abdullah Gul, who rang the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange.
Simsek also attended the Business Council for International Understanding meeting, presided by President Gul.
