ANKARA - Turkey`s exports were up 26.3 percent in August compared to the same term last year, announced the Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) on Friday.
Turkish exports in August, 2008 were worth 11.3 billion USD, told the TUIK.
In August, Turkey`s imports increased by 30.6 percent compared to the same period in 2007. Turkish imports in August were worth 19.1 billion USD.
According to TUIK, Turkey`s foreign trade deficit went up by 37 percent in August and was valued at 8.1 billion USD.
