President Gul Decorated With A Medal By Foreign Policy Association

NEW YORK - Turkish President Abdullah Gul was decorated with a medal by New York-based Foreign Policy Association for his endeavors and contributions to Middle Eastern peace on Wednesday.
Gul attended "World Leadership Forum" organized by Foreign Policy Association and said the medal that was presented to him was an indication that the international community appreciated Turkey`s contribution to efforts aiming at securing lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
President Gul said Turkey attached a special interest in the Middle East because Turkey had historical and cultural ties with the region and current clashes and problems in the Middle East should be solved immediately.
"I believe that Turkey`s reliability in the region is important for us and also for the international community," he stated.
