ISTANBUL - Turkey is ranked the 23rd among the countries drawing foreign investments, a report said on Wednesday.
The United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD) released a world investment report, and placed Turkey the 23rd country among the countries drawing the highest international direct investments in 2007.
Turkey was in the 17th place in the world investment report of 2006.
According to 2007`s report, Turkey`s share in global international direct investments was 1.2 percent and 4.4 percent among the 180 developing countries.
Turkey made 2.1 billion USD of foreign investments in 2007, and was the 50th country in the list of countries making foreign investments.
Turkey`s international direct investment stock reached 146 billion USD in 2007, putting Turkey among the 21st place among countries with the highest stock.
