Obama Praises President Gul's Meeting With Armenian Counterpart

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Presidential candidate of the U.S. Democrat Party, Barack Obama, described Turkish President Abdullah Gul`s recent meeting with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsian in Yerevan as "a hopeful step" and praised this meeting.
In a message released on the occasion of the anniversary of Armenia`s independence, Obama stressed that the step taken by Turkish and Armenian leaders could bring normalization that would be welcomed with pleasure.
