NEW YORK - The Turkish state minister for the Treasury arrived in New York late on Tuesday to have talks with investment institutions.
Turkey`s State Minister Mehmet Simsek will participate in a global investment symposium organized by a think-tank, International Economic Alliance (IEA) on Wednesday, and deliver a speech on the economic situation and investment opportunities in Turkey.
Minister Simsek is also expected to attend a reception hosted by Baki Ilkin, Turkey`s permanent representative to the United Nations. Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Foreign Minister Ali Babacan will also participate in the reception.
Simsek is to depart from New York on Friday after having talks with executives of investment institutions.
