Babacan Says Turkey Has A Sound Political Will Regarding EU Membership

NEW YORK - Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan has said Turkey had a sound political will in regard to full EU membership.
Babacan delivered a speech on Turkish foreign policy at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, the United States.
EU should accept Turkey as a full member in order to become a global actor with a sound and alive economy, he said.
Replying to a question on the reform process in Turkey, Babacan said they aimed to make Turkish Constitution comply with the EU criteria and Turkey`s new national programme foresaw some constitutional amendments.
