FM Babacan Says Turkey Attaches A Great Importance To Peace In Middle East

NEW YORK - Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan has said Turkey attached a great importance to assurance of peace and security in Middle East.
Babacan delivered a speech on Turkish foreign policy at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, the United States.
Babacan said they expected that the problem regarding Kirkuk`s status should be solved in a fair way.
Turkey expected Iraqi government and local administration (in the north of Iraq) to cooperate with Turkey in fight against terrorist organization PKK, he said.
