JENIN, West Bank, Aug 23 (AFP) - The Israeli army captured a local leader of the radical Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in the northern West Bank on Monday, Palestinian security sources said.
Nimr Abu Rabiya, 30, was picked up in the town of Tulkarem along with one of his lieutenants who was injured in the arrest operation targeting the group which is loosely linked to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement.
The operation was carried out by special forces disguised as Palestinians, backed up a by a column of some 10 jeeps, the security sources and witnesses added.
