German Investors' Interest In Izmir On Rise, Consul General

IZMIR - Germany`s Consul General in western province of Izmir, Stefan Schneider, said Tuesday that German investors` interest in Izmir is on the rise.
Schneider paid a visit of courtesy to Izmir Governor Cahit Kirac and Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu after having been recently appointed as Germany`s consul general in Izmir.
Speaking to reporters, Schneider stressed that "Izmir is a gem of the Mediterranean."
"We have a staff of 60 people in our Izmir Consulate General. This is one of the most crowded representations of the German government and it shows how much importance Germany attaches to Izmir," Schneider said.
