IZMIR - Turkish security forces intercepted Monday 48 illegal migrants in operations in the northwestern province of Canakkale, southern province of Hatay and western province of Izmir.
The migrants of Mauritanian, Palestinian, Eritrean, Somali, Afghan and Iranian descent were detained for violating Turkish borders and passport law.
They will be deported once the legal proceedings are completed.
