Russian President To Visit International Izmir Fair

IZMIR - ''Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit 73rd International Izmir Fair'', Kerim Ozsoydan, Russian Federation's Honorary Consul in Izmir said on Monday.
Ozsoydan told A.A correspondent that Putin would arrive in Aegean Izmir province on September 3rd after having meetings in Ankara.
According to preliminary information they had received, Putin would return to Moscow after visiting the fair, Ozsoydan said.
On the other hand, Russian Federation, which will join the fair for the 54th time, will be the ''honorary guest'' of this year's fair.
Around 50 Russian companies, working in areas such as power generation, machinery and food industry, will participate in the fair. These Russian companies aim to establish new business contacts during the fair.
Russia will introduce itself with not only commercial but also cultural and artistic activities during the 73rd International Izmir Fair.
1,138 companies, including 305 foreign companies from 37 countries will participate in this year's fair which will be open between August 27th and September 5th.
